My two cents worth: I would encourage all to attend if possible. We have attended virtually all of the MIHS camps offered in Soldotna since mites, and have found them worthwhile, and fun, and "game day" at the conclusion is a blast. I think it is also important for the kids to get exposure to varied drills and coaching and instruction styles. No matter what skill level a player is at, my own observation is that most of them get motivated in these camps.

Some people think that the camps are for the elite player only...that is not the case. Brad has done an excellent job of accomodating players at different skill levels and giving them meaningful experience.

Let's support MIHS. You are not going to find a better camp for the price, and right in our own back yard.

Coaches

MIHS of Canada is rich in hockey history when it comes to offering effective ice hockey camps for all ages. MIHS of Canada commenced in the early 1980’s on Vancouver Island by Founder and President Lance Odegaard. He started the program by offering high tempo Conditioning camps that challenged competitive kids mentally and physically. The popularity and effectiveness of the camps were proven and Mid Island Hockey Schools took their program to the next level by offering Professional Hockey Schools. The word started to spread to our U.S. neighbors and in 1996 Mid Island Hockey Schools commenced Hockey Schools and Specialty camps in select locations around the United States and Canada. MIHS also ran the first ever Professional Ice Hockey camp in Sendai, Japan. Since then, MIHS of Canada has built a committed staff that cannot be matched. A make up of great hockey minds representing Canadian Jr. Hockey, top NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey teams, as well as some former NHL and European Professionals. Our staff is very well connected to all of the competitive leagues around North America and Europe. We hope to see you at one of our exciting programs in 2007!
